Kobe Paras rules qualifiers of FIBA U-18 dunk contest

Kobe Paras barged into the next round of the FIBA Under-18 dunk contest, after ruling the qualifiers with 56 points with a 360 slam and a dunk over teammates Mike Nieto and Russell Escoto.

But the son of PBA legend Benjie Paras, who won the same competition two years ago, hinted that he’s saving the best for last.

“I wanna do the crazy stuff in the finals which is a secret, so to everyone watching just stay tuned until tomorrow,” the teen told the FIBA official website in an interview.

Jalek Felton of the United States and Agustin Da Costa of Uruguay also qualified with 54 points each, while Mark Boros is the bet of the host country with 53 points.
