Dan Siegel, professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine studied how using a cell phone just before sleeping affects our brain and body.
Dr. Siegel believes that when we look at our cell phone, the light from the screen tells our brain to stay awake.
It is known that too little sleep affects our memory, stress, problem solving and makes it easier to gain weight. Also if we do not get the required seven to nine hours of sleep, the neurons fail to relax.
