Windows 8 Officially Launched by Microsoft today in New York City. Steven Sinofsky exclaimed that Windows 8 went through 1,240,000,000 hours of testing in public in 190 countries. In his words

It’s a giant NEWS for all of us. A big day for Microsoft indeed, having more than 1000 certified PCs with Windows 8 in it sold up till now. Windows 8 is basically targeted for new era devices like tablets or you can say Touch Enabled Targeting. Some of the users were even found complaining about Windows 8 being hard to use on normal laptops.
With Windows 8 another big thing that was launched today was Windows Store, full of applications paid and Free. Microsoft believes to turn tables with this start-up. Microsoft even claims about Windows 8 to be supporting more than 500 Million old peripherals and gadgets.
